D'Ottilienberg calls | The tower is up

Opening of the Ottilienberg Tower and catering by the German Alpine Club. Beautiful panoramic view over the nature park & walking trails at Ottilienberg. "The tower is open" is always said on the first Sunday of the month. The German Alpine Club, Eppingen district group, opens and operates the Ottilienberg Tower from 11 AM to 5 PM. In good weather, you have an excellent panoramic view over the Kraichgau, the Black Forest, the Steinsberg, the Palatinate Forest, and sometimes you can even see the Vosges.

Hiking & excursion tips for the Ottilienberg Tower: The Wander3Klänge Eppingen runs along Ottilienberg - three hiking and walking trails ranging from 3.5 to 13.2 km in length. Highlights on the Wander3Klänge include the "Heaven's Ladder" and the observation platform "Kraichgaublick." A little below Ottilienberg lies the Jägersee, an idyllic forest lake with beautiful resting spots and benches, as well as a "lake loop trail." The forest puddle path at Jägersee is especially recommended for families. It is a 3.2 km long educational and experiential trail that forms a large loop around the lake.
