Grandparent Days: Music and Toys of the Pile Dwellers

During the Grandparents' Days, grandparents and their grandchildren have the opportunity to experience life in the Stone and Bronze Ages up close. Once again, the popular Grandparents' Days will take place on October 29 and 30 at the pile dwellings in Unteruhldingen. During this time, grandparents and their grandchildren can immerse themselves in the life of the Stone and Bronze Ages. Participants will be able to get hands-on experience and familiarize themselves with the technical and artistic achievements of the pile dwellers. And the best part: all objects created together or individually can be taken home! This year's theme for the Grandparents' Days is "Music and Toys of the Pile Dwellers." It begins with a guided tour of the New Museum and the outdoor area, providing an impression of the musical and playful possibilities of prehistoric people. After that, participants will have the chance to craft various musical instruments (notched flute, buzzing stick, rattle…) and game elements (dice, memory, board games…) to choose from. Exclusively for grandparents and grandchildren. No parents allowed.
