Thematic tour on regional agriculture and the use of plants and grafting techniques during the Roman settlement. With the Roman settlement came many innovations in agriculture, including the grafting technique for espalier fruit and the import of olive oil from southern Spain. Human-made landscape design also began during this time and later led to Baroque garden art. The exhibition also addresses the use of plant raw materials, their environmental consequences, as well as the mythological significance of certain plants and fertility deities.
