French Film Days

Since 1984, the French Film Festival Tübingen-Stuttgart has offered an unusual range of films from across the Francophonie. As the largest showcase of Francophone cinema in Germany, the French Film Festival presents the latest feature and short films from the entire Francophonie, exciting retrospectives, films for children, teenagers, and school classes, tributes, and a Ciné-Concert in Tübingen, Stuttgart, Rottenburg, and Reutlingen. This year's edition of the film festival features many tried-and-true elements as well as a few new additions, including a children's and family program. The 42nd edition of the festival brings around 60 feature films to the cinemas of the region. A highly esteemed international jury will view first and second feature films in the "International Competition" during the festival and award the Filmtage Tübingen Prize. Additionally, our youth juries in Tübingen and Stuttgart will each select their own winning film across different sections. And as a visitor, you are invited during the festival to choose your favorite film from the Horizons section and thus - together with all other festival attendees - award the Audience Prize.
