The Küssaburg ruin is the landmark of the Waldshut district. Experience unique insights into the history of this beautiful ruin during a guided tour. The Küssaburg ruin - a castle built around 872. First mentioned in a document in 1141, it was elevated to a state fortress in 1524 and was blown up and destroyed by its garrison during the Thirty Years' War in the face of the approaching Swedes. Even today, it still holds great appeal for visitors. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
