Gruorn on the former military training area

The church, the historical circular path, and the schoolhouse offer visitors interesting insights into the history and fate of its inhabitants. The once-thriving village of Gruorn had to be evacuated in 1939 for the expansion of the Münsingen military training area, and 665 people lost their homes. Visitors can inform themselves independently or participate in guided tours organized by the Committee for the Preservation of the Church in Gruorn e.V. on Sundays and public holidays at 2:30 PM. Refreshments are available in the schoolhouse from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 11:00 AM.
