Visitor Days Tschamber Cave

The Tschamber Cave in Rheinfelden (Baden) promises an extraordinary caving experience for the whole family. Follow the underground stream and discover the hidden world of shell limestone. The Tschamber Cave is located directly on the banks of the Rhine in the Rheinfelden district of Karsau-Riedmatt. It is an active stream cave and only one of three public shell limestone caves in Germany. Equipped with a helmet and flashlight, you will embark on an exciting exploration tour into the mountain's interior. Follow the traces of the underground water through wide and narrow passages, halls, and gorges, along distinctive wall and ceiling formations. At the end of the cave, a special highlight awaits you: a waterfall that reaches up to 5 meters in height. With temperatures around 10 °C, a visit is also the perfect way to cool off on hot summer days. Visitor information: Last entry is always at 1:15 PM. Guided tours take place on the hour (10, 11, 12 & 1 PM). Due to limited capacity, we recommend making a reservation in advance. Reservations can be made approximately 4 months in advance.
