HOT FOR READING - The Summer Reading Campaign

Students in grades 1-5 become club members and receive a logbook. All club members who have read at least three books will receive a certificate and a small gift, and have the chance to participate in a raffle. This is for students in grades 1-5. Since 2013, the popular summer reading program has been taking place in the Freiburg district, coordinated by the Public Library Service in Freiburg, and the Müllheim Media Library has been participating ever since. New exciting and funny children's books, specifically purchased for this program, can only be borrowed by club members. The goal is to dive into foreign worlds, experience thrilling adventures, and expand one's horizons with these new stories. And on the side, it helps to practice reading, improve language expression, and even spelling. Each club member receives a logbook. Upon return, there is a stamp for each book read. Beforehand, members can give a rating in the logbook. All club members who have read at least three books will receive a certificate and a small gift and have the chance to participate in a raffle. At the closing celebration on Thursday, September 25th at 3 PM, all participants are welcome, but they must register at the media library via mediathek@muellheim.de. Of course, participation in the reading club is free of charge.
