Shades of Calw: Tamara Gross

As part of the exhibition project "Shades of Calw," artist Tamara Gross presents a selection of her works in her solo exhibition that combines the highest quality and creativity. Tamara Gross showcases her artworks at the Kultur-Apotheke. In her works, the artist aims to capture the beauty and uniqueness of Calw, particularly sharpening the perspective of the local population towards this wonderful city. From August 29, 2025, she will present her artworks as part of the exhibition project "Shades of Calw" until October 5, 2025, at the Kultur-Apotheke.

Tamara Gross, born in 1958 in Minsk, Belarus, has lived in the Hermann Hesse city since 1996 and perceives it, as she describes herself, with a very special intensity, rediscovering every street corner and half-timbered house anew. Sharing this unique perspective and approach with the city's residents is an important concern for her and her artistic work, as the magic of this place and its immediate surroundings is often overlooked in the stressful everyday life. This magic and aura are shaped and embodied for the artist by the special atmosphere of Calw, its architecture, and especially the warmth of its people.

Moreover, she is inspired by role models like Hermann Hesse, whose portrait she created represents not just the likeness of a person but rather a universe of thoughts intertwined with countless emotions. By making these depths visible, the artist attempts to portray the inner world of the subjects, thereby providing a comprehensive image of a person.

The exhibition can be viewed during the regular opening hours of the Kultur-Apotheke until October 5, 2025. The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7 PM at the Kultur-Apotheke in Calw. Admission is free. The exhibition project "Shades of Calw" extends throughout the year 2025 and offers selected artists from Calw the opportunity to present themselves in the form of a solo exhibition.
