How biblical words and church music can serve as inspiration for calligraphy is demonstrated by Petra Kirchner, calligrapher and choir singer, in this exciting exhibition. The source of inspiration includes biblical words, including passages from the Psalms, as well as prayers, hymns, petitions, and thanks, along with texts and text fragments from cantatas, passion music, and major oratorio works. These have been transformed into visually tangible images, showcasing the range of artistic script expressions. You are warmly invited to let the script and word resonate with you! A unique visual and acoustic sound space awaits you on this evening. At the opening, the artist Kurt John will introduce the world of images and calligraphy. Marion Potyka will musically accompany the event with the clarinet. The exhibition on the ground floor of the Heinrich-Fries-Haus will be on display until 14.11.2025.
