Wellness in days gone by… – a journey through the history of Wangen – guided tour

On this tour, you will learn what wellness meant in the Middle Ages and what rare treasures are hidden in the individual museums of the Wangen museum landscape. Meeting point: Guest Office - Tourist Information, Bindstr. 10. The museums are lined up like pearls on a string, nestled closely together. They extend from the city museum in the Eselmühle along the walkable battlements of the old city wall to the Powder Tower and the old bathhouse. The exciting journey of discovery and time travel begins at the city museum with a tour of the old Eselmühle, which has many interesting stories to tell about its former owner, Maria Neff. Not only is the view from the battlements of the picturesque old town unique, but also the concluding visit to the well-preserved bathhouse from 1589, where many historical treasures can be discovered. A museum admission fee of €2.50 per person is required for this tour. Payment is made on-site at the museum ticket office. This tour is also available for groups upon request.
