6th Müllheim Puppet Theatre Days

All big and small friends of puppet theater can look forward to this: For the sixth time, the Freiburg Puppet Stage is coming to the community center in Müllheim. All families with children aged 4 and up are warmly invited to this event series. Three different plays with beautiful stories are on the program! The first performance, featuring the pirate play "Kasper and the Pirate of the Seven Seas," will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM. A repeat performance will be shown on Sunday, October 26th, also at 2:30 PM. Excitement is high in the harbor of San Sansibar. A massive ship sails in and hoists the pirate flag. The Pirate of the Seven Seas returns with gold to the kingdom. But oh no: As a reward for his services, the pirate wants to take the king's daughter as his wife. Luckily, Kasper and his clever dog Bello team up to prevent the princess from marrying the pirate. The audience eagerly follows whether the two friends can defend themselves against the cunning pirate and unexpectedly help the impoverished king find the legendary treasure in the enchanted bay, leading to much greater wealth.

On Saturday, October 25th, and Sunday, October 26th, at 4:00 PM each day, the piece "Kasper and the Stolen Cuckoo Clock" will bring excitement. Grandma's birthday is approaching, and Kasper has come up with a very special surprise: With his saved pocket money, he has bought her a real cuckoo clock! And of course, he has to show it to the children right away! Unfortunately, someone else has their eye on the beautiful clock: the robber Rodewald! At an opportune moment, he steals the expensive gift! What now? Kasper and Seppel take on the delicate task of retrieving the stolen birthday gift from the robber. But the two friends must also deal with another difficulty: in the dark forest lives the cunning wizard Tagolf. With cheeky laughter, the sparkling wizard rises from the depths and presents the robber with a secret plan...

The third performance of the puppet festival will take place on Sunday, October 26th at 11:00 AM. You are invited to a matinee featuring the fabulous piece "The Golden Unicorn." A shy unicorn reveals itself to the princess living in a peaceful world when it hears her special song. One day, the treacherous troll of the rocky mountains overhears the event and returns to his barren world with that alluring call. Will his servant, the dwarf Hugi, help him summon the unicorn? The adventurous Kasper and his dog Bello will surely manage to secretly follow the troll and stand by the unicorn's side. Puppeteer David Minuth takes the audience on imaginative journeys through fairy-tale worlds, which, thanks to enchanting puppets and artistic staging, allow not only children to dream.
