Anniversary of 50 Years of Sled Dog Racing in Todtmoos - Half a Century Full of Passion and Adventure. For 50 years, Todtmoos in the Southern Black Forest has transformed into an Eldorado for mushers, dogs, and enthusiastic spectators every winter. What started small has become one of the most traditional sled dog races in Europe – an impressive spectacle of speed, teamwork, and icy wilderness. The powerful huskies, the howling before the start, the breath in the cold air – the race is not just a sporting event, but an emotional experience for all the senses. Year after year, both two-legged and four-legged participants brave snow, wind, and cold to showcase their best performances together. Half a century full of stories, connection to nature, and unforgettable moments – Todtmoos proudly celebrates 50 years of sled dog racing with heart and a big dose of goosebumps.

Program for the Anniversary Weekend
Friday, October 24
6:00 PM Opening of the exhibition "50 Years of Sled Dog Racing in Todtmoos" at the Wehratalhalle.
At 7:00 PM, an exciting expert lecture by Markus Luft awaits you. Although he is no longer actively racing, Markus is one of the defining personalities in international sled dog sports. During his active years, he successfully participated in numerous races in Europe and the USA – experiences from which he brings fascinating stories and deep insights. The lecture lasts about an hour and includes a Q&A session. Following this, there will be a panel discussion with companions of sled dog sports, where the topic can be explored further.

Saturday, October 25
From 8:00 PM, there will be a Rock Night with the band "Stone Free." Catering (with bar service) provided by the Narrenzunft Todtmoos.

Sunday, October 26
Waldhaus - Wehra - Trail 3. Sled Dog Cart Race in Todtmoos
