Short and to the point: 1-day beginner seminar "Identifying Fruit Varieties"

Brettacher, Gewürzluike, and Kardinal Bea are just resonant names to you so far? We want to change that! Join us in the flavorful world of pomology. Dive into the delightful realm of pomology with us and learn the basics of identifying the most common regional apple varieties. Tasting, smelling, and sampling are, of course, part of the experience. You will also discover which variety can be used for what purpose, which tree might be growing on your property, and which variety is particularly suitable for replanting. The seminar provides fundamental knowledge for identifying the most common apple varieties in the region. We will learn methods for variety identification, such as distinguishing features and identification literature. Afterwards, we will identify and discuss regional varieties together. A visit to the fruit variety educational trail, with a joint discussion of variety-specific habitus and growth form, will round off the day.
