Tübingen Poetics Lectureship 2025

The University of Tübingen invites you to the 38th Tübingen Poetics Lectureship: Jenny Erpenbeck and Peter Wawerzinek will speak in Tübingen about their literary and essayistic texts from November 17 to 21, 2025. Guests include Ute and Werner Mahler, who have captured everyday life in the GDR in their photographs. The Tübingen Poetics Lectureship is a project of the Würth Foundation and is supported by Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. Each year, authors are invited to give public lectures and offer workshops for students. The traditional opening will be a reading at the Würth Art Hall. Dates: • Monday, November 17: Lecture by Jenny Erpenbeck • Tuesday, November 18: Talk by Ute and Werner Mahler • Wednesday, November 19: Jenny Erpenbeck in conversation • Thursday, November 20: Lecture by Peter Wawerzinek The events can also be followed via live stream. Additionally, on November 20 at 5 PM, an exhibition titled "About Cities and Villages" will take place at the Tübingen City Museum, featuring photographs by Ute Mahler & Werner Mahler, where both will be present to showcase their award-winning photographs.
