Klangvorhang42 // Live: Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer and District Five

On the tenth anniversary of the first Klangvorhang concert, Klangvorhang e.V. presents two highlights of their concert series: Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer from Düsseldorf and District Five from Zurich. Listen, dance, marvel!

Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer
Driven by energetic and refined drum rhythms, catalyzed by pulsating synths and electric basses, controlled by fiery synths and 80s Van Halen reminiscent guitar solos, the music of Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer burns into the auditory cortex. The band shoots through its own multiverse, sounding as if Rush were playing a successful mix of Kraut, synthwave, and fusion. The songs are eclectic and modern electronically, yet always in understandable arrangements with a clear rock attitude. The instrumental quantum resonance mix is rounded off by vocoder robot voices reminiscent of Daft Punk and sci-fi speech samples. The result is a synapse fireworks display. Since 2015, Future Jesus & The Electric Lucifer have been joyfully flying through musical space history – purposeful, but by no means hopeless. On board: Richard Eisenach (bass, synth, voice), Florian Hoheisel (guitar, synth), and Tamon Nüßner (drums).

District Five
District Five skillfully navigates between genre lines, so much so that we actually don’t want to be drawn into any categorization. The four Zurich-based musicians – primarily friends, also band members (and brilliant musicians) – present a small internal revolution on their third studio album, daring to delve deeper into spatial sound and bringing crystal-clear melodic lines. Look forward to rich guitar and synth sounds, complex arrangements, and many stories.
