Sophie Chassée presents her album "Attachment Theory" with touching guitar pop. The songs tell stories of heartbreak, hope, and healing. Live on October 24, 2025, at 8 PM in the village center of Holzen. "We can feel them shine / Protecting us from the dark," sings Sophie Chassée in her new single "Stars," an anthem to those very stars, sprinkled across the night sky as if they were splashes of an unknown color that we call "hope." And, you can sense it while listening to this wonderful guitar pop song: perhaps it’s not just the stars; maybe it’s also the music of Sophie Chassée that can sometimes protect us from the darkness, illuminating it down to the darkest corners, and shining a bit of hope into them with every chord. "Stars" is the first single from "Attachment Theory," the new album by Sophie Chassée. The songs deal with heartbreak and broken relationships, as if there were indeed a theory, a formula to make that damn pain more bearable. And if there is one, it must be: plucked guitars in the style of Ben Howard, Tracy Chapman, or Andy McKee, combined with a wonderfully delicate, warm Colbie Caillat-like voice, and multiplied by grand folk-pop moments reminiscent of earlier Taylor Swift songs. The lyrics are so clear that they sing all the "toxic" back into the darkness of the night, leaving only light behind. Sophie Chassée comes from a family of musicians; she practices singing with her mother and plays four-handed piano with her grandmother. She taught herself to play guitar and began writing her own songs. She has performed alongside world-renowned guitarists like Jon Gomm, Joscho Stephan, and Peter Finger, as well as working as a live bassist for Alli Neumann and the band AnnenMayKantereit. With the latter, Chassée still performs today in sold-out venues across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With "Attachment Theory," the singer-songwriter is releasing her fourth studio album. There are many genres that one could use to describe Chassée's music: modern fingerstyle, folk, or acoustic pop. But perhaps it’s enough to simply call these songs what they are: great, honest, deep songs. Those that let the landscape pass by, bandage the wounds on the soul, and make hope shine a little brighter.
