Vernissage for the exhibition "Dreams of Harmony" featuring artworks by Jayantha Gomes.

As part of the exhibition project "Shades of Calw," Jayantha Gomes presents a unique selection of his works in his solo exhibition "Dreams of Harmony" at the Calw Adult Education Center. Starting on November 24, 2025, Jayantha Gomes will showcase his artworks, which include batiks, watercolors, and pen drawings. The Sri Lankan artist, who has lived in Calw since 1986, is heavily influenced by Buddhism and the guiding principle of harmony. He had already held an exhibition in the Old Latin School in 2002, and now the artist, Dr. Klaus-Peter Hartmann as the speaker, and lute player Prof. Julian Behr will come together again for the opening of the current exhibition. The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on November 28, 2025, at 7:30 PM at the Calw Adult Education Center. The exhibition will be on display during the opening hours of the VHS until December 19, 2025. The exhibition project "Shades of Calw" spans the entire year of 2025 and offers selected artists from Calw the opportunity to present themselves in the form of a solo exhibition.
