Leadership in the Sababurg Jungle

Experience the oldest protected area in Hesse - the Sababurg primeval forest - on this guided tour along ancient paths. Gnarled and twisted beech and oak trees, some up to 600 years old, tell the story of forest management through their growth forms. Even today, many traces of humans and animals from over seven centuries can still be seen. Our guides will show you the unique features of the "primeval forest" and explain why it is not actually a true primeval forest.
