On June 21, the city of Breisach am Rhein will once again celebrate its patronage in honor of Saints Gervasius and Protasius. The festive service with procession begins at 8:30 AM in the Münster. Following this, there will be a gathering in the Münsterplatz. The city of Breisach am Rhein is celebrating its patronage in honor of Saints Gervasius and Protasius once again. The service in the Münster starts at 8:30 AM, led by the festive preacher Dean Peter Nicola from Salem, with the theme: "Go and teach" from the Gospel of Matthew. With this, he addresses the situation on our continent, both during the time of the saints' work and today. After the service in the Münster - which is supported by Pastor Hannemann, Pastor Bauer, Deacon Wochner, and the Münster choir under the direction of Nicola Heckner - the city music will lead the procession with the reliquary shrine to the marketplace. Mayor Rein will recommend the city to God in the intercessions. In the marketplace, a flower carpet will again be created in front of the large altar. Mrs. Grom and her team will design a large flower carpet once more. We are very pleased if the residents along the procession route decorate their houses again. After the procession, if the weather is nice, you can enjoy refreshments under the old linden tree at the Münsterplatz. The community association, led by Mr. Fuß, will provide refreshments, and the Gündlingen music association will entertain you.
