Saarbrücken Christmas Market

From November 18 to December 23, our city will once again transform into a sparkling winter wonderland. Daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, the Christkindl Market invites you to stroll, marvel, and enjoy – with fragrant mulled wine, festive lights, and lovingly designed stalls. Please note: The market will be closed on November 23, 2025. A special highlight awaits you on December 20: During Late Night Shopping, you can shop comfortably until 10 PM and enjoy the magical Christmas atmosphere even longer. And even after the holidays, we have you covered: The market will open its gates on December 24 from 11:30 AM to 2 PM and again from December 27 to 30, each day from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Flying Santa Claus
The Flying Santa Claus delights visitors daily at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM above the St. Johanner Markt, accompanied by the joyfully waving Christkind. On special days, there are additional showtimes: for the opening on December 17 at 6:00 PM, every Children's Wednesday at 2:00 PM, as well as during the long shopping night and the closing performance on December 23 at 6:00 PM. Please note that weather-related changes are possible at any time and will be announced on-site.

Ferris Wheel Jupiter
The world's only mobile Ferris wheel rises 50 meters above Saarbrücken's city center and invites you to unforgettable rides from November 17 to January 6, 2025 – with special opening hours on Christmas Eve, during the holidays, and for the long shopping night. Adults pay 7 euros, children from 3 years old pay 4 euros, and there are discounts as well as free or reduced rides, for example, after the 5 PM show of the Flying Santa Claus or on Children's Wednesdays.

Ice Rink
The sustainable plastic ice rink on Bahnhofstraße invites you to skate daily until December 30 from 12 PM to 8 PM (until 10 PM on the long shopping night on December 21). Visitors can glide across 10 x 14 meters, rent or sharpen skates, and practical learning aids are available for children.
