On Museum Day, the Red Tower comes alive with medieval life. Staufer guards, crafts, and free admission to museums invite visitors to Bad Wimpfen. #### **Red Tower Action Days** On International Museum Day, Bad Wimpfen traditionally hosts the Red Tower Action Days. On Saturday and Sunday, the square around the Staufer watchtower is brought to life with medieval camp life. The Wimpfen Staufer guard is also there, patrolling the battlements of the tower and the adjacent city wall as they did in the days of the Staufer kings and emperors.  At the foot of the tower, the Opus manuum group from Zabergäu will set up camp and showcase medieval crafts, among other things. Admission to the permanent exhibition in the Red Tower is free during the action weekend, and visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of Bad Wimpfen's old town and the Neckar Valley from the viewing platform at the top of the tower. Our tip: The Imperial City Museum in the Old Hospital, the Church History Museum in the Palatinate Chapel, and the Historical Museum in the Stone House can also be visited on the event days—admission is free!
