Museum Tour: Walk through the Neighborhood

The tour is an engaging journey of discovery tracing nearly 1000 years of neighborhood and city history. After a brief introduction to the neighborhood in the courtyard, you will meet three former residents and learn about their lives. Following in the footsteps of Hans Humpis, you will explore his noble living quarters on the first floor and be fascinated by the European trade of the Ravensburg trading company in the 15th century. The next destination is the attic, where the tanner Johannes Wucherer, a typical guild craftsman of the mixed-confession Ravensburg, hung his hides to dry. To conclude, the path leads through the courtyard to the arcades, where you will become acquainted with the era of industrialization in the former guest rooms of the innkeeper Gottfried Rösch.
