Dead or Alive Poetry Slam

In a poetry slam, current slam poets compete against legendary, deceased poets. The deceased poets are brought to life by actors. We are going to make the stage of the city library tremble – in a literary competition of the highest caliber, the Dead or Alive Poetry Slam. This special form of verbal duel is rightly called the royal discipline of poetry slam. Actors take on the roles of deceased writers and try to measure themselves against the best poetry slam performers from the German-speaking world. Do the works of great writers from the beyond, such as Joseph Victor von Scheffel, still stand a chance against some of the strongest texts of contemporary stage poetry? Or will they be promptly sent back to their graves through audience voting? In the end, it is the audience that will decide who will emerge victorious from this duel.
