On Sunday, October 12, the town center of Bad Wurzach and the Klosterplatz will revolve around the theme "50 Years of Incorporation." A leisurely shopping stroll at local retailers will be possible from 12 PM to 5 PM. Additionally, there will be a farmers' market, the popular car show, and a flea market, as well as a fantastic stage program in the town center. On Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 12 PM to 5 PM, the city of Bad Wurzach, together with the Trade and Commerce Association (HGV), invites everyone to a Sunday of shopping under the motto "50 Years of Incorporation." This special event celebrates the anniversary of the incorporation of the districts in the 1970s, with a varied program in the town center. The city of Bad Wurzach looks forward to numerous visitors who will celebrate this special day together and experience 50 years of community life.
Festive Opening and Program Highlights
The day will begin festively in the morning: After a festive church service at 10 AM in the St. Verena parish church, a colorful parade with flags from associations throughout the community will make its way to the town hall, where Mayor Alexandra Scherer will officially welcome the visitors around 11:30 AM. The opening will be musically accompanied by the Eggmannsried music band, which will also host a morning gathering on the stage at the town hall afterward. In the afternoon, a diverse stage program will provide entertainment: The Arnach sports club will delight with dance performances by the "Youngsters" and "Teenies," followed by a performance from the youth music school. At 3 PM, Blimes Bunte Bühne will present a cool dance show featuring the HipHop groups. The stage program will conclude at 4 PM with the Mühlenfest musicians.
Shopping, Enjoying, and Discovering
The traditional flea market in the town center invites visitors to browse, while the farmers' market in Klosterplatz showcases regional products. Various stalls in the town center will also cater to culinary delights. For families, the pumpkin rally through the town center offers exciting entertainment with great prizes. The car dealership am Ried will showcase its current models at the car show, while the Reiser carpentry will present wooden games and small surprises. A highlight is the offering from Optik Blickfang with fascinating iris photography. In the Maria Rosengarten, visitors can explore the MOOR EXTREM museum, a book flea market at the city library, and a film about the 50-year incorporation in the meeting room.
Anniversary of 50 Years of Incorporation
A special highlight is the anniversary "50 Years of Incorporation." With a historical retrospective and various activities, Bad Wurzach will commemorate this important milestone in its city history. The kickoff will be a festive event with invited guests on Friday, October 10. The Sunday of shopping itself will also be dedicated to the anniversary: a festive church service, a parade, speeches on the stage in front of the town hall, and the anniversary film, which will feature all districts, will illustrate how the community has developed and grown together over the past fifty years. The celebrations will culminate in a large 70s-themed party at the Kurhaus Kulturschmiede on Saturday, October 18.
