On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the popular autumn market will take place in the church square in Meckenbeuren and its surroundings. A highlight of the event is the bike race around the church. Starting at 12 PM, the shops in Meckenbeuren will be open. With bike races and market activities around the church, the autumn market invites everyone to a shopping Sunday in Meckenbeuren. Guests can expect a social gathering, autumn sunshine, and exciting bike races at this year's autumn market in Meckenbeuren. On October 5, the shopping Sunday with the bike race "Around the Church" will again take place in the center of the town. A racing program is available online at the cycling club Seerose e.V. Away from the racetrack, local clubs, groups, and vendors will provide a diverse program and culinary highlights. Hungry visitors can look forward not only to coffee and homemade cakes as well as pumpkin soup, but also to Maultaschen burgers, waffles, sweet and savory crêpes, cheese spaetzle, cider, and of course fries and bratwurst. The event starts at 11 AM. The stalls will be open until 5 PM, and the bike race will take place during that time. The shopping Sunday will begin at 12 PM. Among those open will be Möbel und Küchen Block, Butterfly House of Beauty, Baumhauer Outdoorsport, Mecka’s Raumwelt, Netto Marken-Discount, Orthopädie-Schuhtechnik Peter Schulz, Späth by Trilago, and Restle Household Goods and Gifts. On the church square, the magician Mirakuli will amaze both young and old visitors in the style of street magicians and jesters. The popular Imperial Jazz Band will wander between the stalls, hopefully attracting spontaneous dancers once again. For those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, the spiritual impulse with music under the motto "Come in and take your time" by the ecumenical team will be held in St. Maria Church. The vehicle exhibition will showcase four-wheeled vehicles from local car dealerships, as well as bicycles and accessories. For the first time, information about car sharing will be available. Families can enjoy a carousel, face painting, crafting, and painting activities. The junior company of Ravensburger will also bring along puzzles for children to design themselves. Additionally, the autumn market will feature stalls with handmade goods, useful items, healthy products, raffles, and art for sale. The historical cycling club will present older bicycle models and will hold a demonstration ride on the racetrack at 12 PM. Not only the bicycles—some from the 1950s—but also the matching outfits of the cyclists will be on display. Particularly recommended is the stand of the youth café, where profits can be redeemed right at the autumn market. At the cozy children's flea market on picnic blankets in the schoolyard of Albrecht-Dürer Elementary School, one might discover a hidden "treasure." These activities will be complemented by the enjoyable program from the youth music school. A play street for the little ones will ensure that everyone is happy on this Sunday.
