This year, the Oberrheinplatz in Rheinfelden shines in a colorful sea of lanterns and invites everyone to a cozy evening – a festive start to the autumn holidays for the whole family. OPENING AT OBERRHEINPLATZ 5:45 PM: Opening speech | Mayor Klaus Eberhardt Due to several last-minute cancellations caused by illness, we are forced to reduce the accompanying program of this year's Lantern Evening. We, as part of the community of Rheinfelden (Baden), are also shaken by the tragic death that occurred this Monday. Out of respect, we will not be using the town hall square for this year's Lantern Evening just a few days after this incident. However, the Lantern Evening in 2025 will still take place, albeit on a smaller scale. We ask for your understanding regarding these last-minute changes.
