Minguet Quartet

Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus e.V.

Allee 28, 74072 Heilbronn

The Minguet Quartet - founded in 1988 - performs in all the major concert halls around the world. They play works for string quartet by Haydn, Schönberg, Debussy, and Ravel. The Minguet Quartet is named after Pablo Minguet, an 18th-century Spanish philosopher who sought to provide the general public with access to the fine arts in his writings: The Minguet Quartet is more committed to this idea than ever. The Minguet Quartet focuses equally on classical-romantic literature and modern music, and is dedicated to numerous world premieres of compositions from the 21st century. The programming for the years 2024 and 2025 will center around the milestone birthdays of Anton Bruckner, Josef Suk, Arnold Schönberg, Luigi Nono, Luciano Berio, Toshio Hosokawa, and Maurice Ravel. In 2010, the Minguet Quartet was awarded the ECHO Klassik, and in 2015, it received the prestigious French Diapason d'Or of the year; in 2020, it was granted the RELOAD scholarship from the Federal Cultural Foundation.
