Prof.-Bier-Straße, 34497 Korbach

On Saturday, the market will be opened at 11:00 AM at the "Berndorfer Tor Platz" by Korbach's mayor and Goldmarie, along with the magistrate and merchant guild. When the cannon shots are heard, the two-day Medieval Market in the Hanseatic city will begin.

Every year, several tens of thousands of visitors crowd into Korbach's pedestrian zone on the second weekend in October. The Historical Medieval Market is the largest public event organized by the Korbach Hanse e.V.!

Amidst tents and stalls, jugglers and minstrels provide entertainment in Korbach's pedestrian zone. Hearty aromas make mouths water. With fresh bread, roast suckling pig, and many other hearty dishes, visitors fortify themselves for a long day at the market. The Korbach market beer has been specially brewed for the Medieval Market. Surrounded by onlookers, knights clash with sparking swords. A witch is dragged before the judge in chains. Demonstrations of craftsmanship vividly show the tools used in the Middle Ages to create everyday objects, and those who are intrigued can purchase a nostalgic souvenir at one of the many stalls.

Our little ones can look forward to the historical carousel, a medieval Ferris wheel, pony rides, or the witch's workshop.

On Sunday, the market will also begin at 11:00 AM. The shops in the city center will open their doors from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, providing an opportunity to browse through the attractive offerings of the shopping city.
