Spinning Afternoon

As in the past, some women demonstrate how to spin yarn from wool during the spinning afternoons at Café Alt-Willingen. Dressed in traditional garments, they will once again be a focal point for the guests.

The spinning wheel is at the forefront. The wheel is set in motion with a pedal. This technique continually attracts curious onlookers. The women are happy to explain their hobby over coffee and cake. As a non-local, one has to listen closely to understand the Willinger dialect. Other women crochet or knit with self-spun yarn.

You are warmly invited to listen to the informative presentations and to examine the locally produced goods afterwards.
