The fossil site "Korbacher Spalte" is the oldest fossil fissure in Europe. Here, you will learn about the earliest ancestors of mammals and dinosaurs. Discover how vertebrates have managed to inhabit the entire planet, underwater, on land, and in the air. We will also show you the significance of limestone for the development of the town of Korbach.

The tour begins at the information pavilion in the quarry at the Korbacher Spalte and ends at the adjacent GeoFoyer Kalkturm Korbach.
The tour ticket grants reduced admission to the Wolfgang-Bonhage-MUSEUM KORBACH.
