The Nikolausmarkt is well-known far beyond the city limits due to its special atmosphere and the diverse offerings that are not of a commercial nature, attracting many visitors each year. The musical program and especially the illuminated paper-cut lanterns in the evening, as well as the stalls mainly run by clubs and private individuals, are what make the Heppenheim Nikolausmarkt special."
