Adult Workshop: Making and Embroidering Leather Bags

Not many everyday objects made of leather and fabric have survived the last 1500 years and can be admired today. The few medieval bags (fragments) and embroideries on garments and shoes serve as the inspiration for this workshop. In a cozy atmosphere and with plenty of time, patience, and creativity, each participant can design, create, and embellish their own small leather bags as they wish. The tools and setting are modern, but the techniques of the various crafting processes have not changed over many centuries. Those who are interested in making smaller crossbody bags, phone cases, wallets, glasses cases, or similar items for themselves or as gifts can register until Friday, November 14th.
