Open-Air Laboratory Lauresham - Public Tour

In the early Middle Ages, the Lorsch Monastery was a famous royal monastery and became wealthy in land ownership through donations from pious lords and ladies. The Lauresham Open-Air Laboratory takes you on a journey back in time to a manor as it might have belonged to the monastery in the 9th century. As a large 1:1 model with buildings and animals, life and work from that time become tangible here. But Lauresham offers even more: with experimental archaeology, the secrets of the past are being uncovered.

SAT & SUN & on public holidays: 11 AM | 2 PM (from 2 people, duration: approx. 90 min)
Admission: €7 | reduced €5 | family ticket €16.50 (2 adults, max. 4 children up to 16 years)
On the following (Sundays), the public guided tour incurs an additional charge of €3 per ticket: April 19, June 14, July 19, August 2, August 16, September 20, October 17.
With the admission ticket, you can also explore the open-air laboratory on your own on these days in addition to the guided tour.

Please note that for the protection of our livestock, dogs are not allowed on the open grounds.
