In the Rhythm of the City: Stories in Music and Sand

The Böhringen Music Association will rehearse and perform works that reflect cityscapes and urban stories. This will be accompanied by a sand artist who will create live sand images on urban historical themes. As part of the city anniversary, the Böhringen Music Association, under the direction of Dr. Marco Geigges, invites you to an unforgettable concert evening with the program "In the Rhythm of the City: Stories in Music and Sand," where sound and image flow into one another. The performance will feature works that reflect cityscapes and urban stories. The musicians will bring to life the history of the Rickelshausen brickworks with the captivating composition "Bricks in Fire," while a wind orchestra piece specifically created for Radolfzell and its districts will create sonic bridges between the past and the present. At the same time, a sand artist will transform selected works into intricate sand images that are created in real-time and visually underscore the narrative power of the music. This special format opens up entirely new avenues for the audience to engage with the identity of the city by making regional stories accessible to multiple senses.
