The White Horse Inn

Freely based on the comedy by Oskar Blumenthal and Gustav Kadelburg, adapted by the ensemble of the Free Theater Waldkirch e.V. with music by composers Ralph Benatzky, Robert Stolz, and Bruno Granichstaedten. At the hotel restaurant "Weißes Rössl," it is high season. Head waiter Leopold has fallen in love with his boss, the innkeeper Josepha Vogelhuber. However, she seems to have eyes only for regular guest Dr. Siedler. When the manufacturer Giesecke arrives with his wife Charlotte and daughter Ottilie, and recognizes Dr. Siedler as the lawyer of his competitor Sülzheimer, intrigues and romantic entanglements begin to unfold. Under the direction of Ulrike Trescher, with musical direction and piano by Bernd Grußendorf, and featuring the entire ensemble, a lively adaptation of the well-known material "S'Weiße Rössl" has been created for our stage in Waldkirch.
