Anniversary Concert 50 Years of the Catholic Church Choir Holy Cross/St. Joseph

The Holy Cross/St. Joseph Church Choir is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a festive concert on Saturday, November 22, at 6:00 PM in the Holy Cross Church in Albstadt-Ebingen. The choir was founded on November 11, 1975, by Wolfgang Raichle, who held the position of choir director until July of last year. In September 2024, church musician Hans-Peter Merz succeeded him. The main work at the anniversary concert will be the festive "Coronation Mass" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed with four vocal soloists, choir, string players from the Ebingen Chamber Orchestra, as well as two trumpets and timpani. Additional gems of sacred choral music will also be performed. Rudolf Hendel will interpret Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor."
