In collaboration with the University of Konstanz and the University of Applied Sciences for Technology, Business and Design Konstanz, students are developing an innovative and interactive exhibition that looks back 1,200 years and simultaneously into the future for another 1,200 years. For the grand city anniversary, Radolfzell invites visitors to a special exhibition at Villa Bosch. In collaboration with the University of Konstanz and the University of Applied Sciences for Technology, Business and Design Konstanz (HTWG), students from the fields of history, communication design, and architecture are creating an innovative and interactive exhibition that reflects on 1,200 years of history and projects 1,200 years into the future. The central idea is that of a time capsule. For centuries, people have preserved messages for future generations, hidden in foundation stones, church steeples, or attics. These items hold such significance that they are meant to endure through time and can only be opened in a distant future. The exhibition draws on this tradition and poses the question: What should Radolfzell leave for the future? What memories, experiences, and hopes are worth preserving for future generations? Visitors can expect an exhibition that not only provides impressive insights into the history of Radolfzell but also invites engagement with the challenges of the present and visions for the future. Therefore, personal thoughts and wishes can and should be contributed, actively shaping what traces of the present will be preserved for the year 3226. In the end, everyone decides for themselves: What should be included in a time capsule?
