Infill development at Wengerthäusle - Creating flow with lake longing

At Wengerthäusle in the center of the Stuttgart region, the architecture firm auch+binder has been hosting the series "Nachverdichtung am Wengerthäusle" since 2019, focusing on current topics in architecture and urban development. Previous speakers have included Andreas Hofer (architect and artistic director of IBA 2027), Boris Palmer (mayor of Tübingen), Gabriele d’Inka (architect), Stefan Altenberger (mayor of Kernen), as well as speakers from culture and business. The series has been moderated by Harald Beck, editor of the Stuttgarter Zeitung. For Thursday, October 16, 2025, we have secured the founders of "agency apéro," who advocate for a livable future by the river, and the winners of the "building outside the box" award 2025, to speak on the topic "Seensucht" (Lake Longing). Under the motto "Creating Rivers with Lake Longing," the theme of water + architecture will be reimagined.
