Homburg Christmas Market

The Homburg Nikolaus Market is one of the most traditional Christmas markets in the region and takes place annually in the Historic Marketplace. On Friday, November 21, Mayor Manfred Rippel will officially open the Nikolaus Market around 6 PM in the presence of the namesake and his entourage. Following this, Minister Christine Streichert-Clivot will present the awards to the winners of the "Homburger Schreibfeder" competition. Around 6:30 PM, a Christmas drone show specially created for the Nikolaus Market will conjure a unique light spectacle in the Saarland evening sky. Another elaborate drone show will guarantee a grand finale on the second Advent. Another special feature is the Nikolaus with his angels, who will be present daily from then on to give gifts to the children. Among the musical highlights is certainly the Christmas musical finale "Lametta fürs Ohr," presented by SR Kultur on the second Advent around 6 PM. Other top acts include "Zirbelknechte" (November 22), "No Matter What" (November 27), "Yannisha" (November 28), "MEP live" (November 29), "Smitty & Friends" (November 30), "Jing & Jang Band" (December 5), and "Goodlife" on Nikolaus Day. Of course, the performances of the Ice Princesses with their funny snowman (November 29) as well as "Tannenfriemel" and "Jubelanda" (December 4) cannot be missed.
