Benefit concert for Hope for Children: Hunting Horn meets Organ

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, a charity concert under the motto "Hunting Horn Meets Organ" will take place at 6:00 PM in the St. Margarethen Church in Waldkirch. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to "Hoffnung für Kinder im Elztal und den Seitentälern" (Hope for Children in the Elztal and its Side Valleys). The hunting horn players' groups from Markgräflerland and Kaiserstuhl, along with organist Eva Wohlfarth, will perform a benefit concert in support of the association "Hoffnung für Kinder im Elztal und den Seitentälern e.V." The Markgräflerland hunting horn players' group serves as the musical ambassador of hunters in the public eye, as part of the Markgräflerland Hunters' Association. Due to the many camaraderie ties between the horn players' groups, the Kaiserstuhl hunting horn players' group has also been invited to this concert. The Kaiserstuhl group currently consists of 12 Fürst-Pless horn players, 4 of whom also play Parforce horns and will present atmospheric hunting pieces during the concert. The concert will also feature support from organist Eva Wohlfarth. The combination of the horn and organ creates an additional, moving sound experience that generates much enthusiasm among the audience. With this concert, the horn players' groups aim to raise donations for the association Hoffnung für Kinder im Elztal und den Seitentälern e.V. This association actively works with heart to ensure that children can grow up well in this country – which is not always easy. It decides what should be subsidized or supported and ensures that help reaches those in urgent need without bureaucratic hurdles. After the concert, the association Hoffnung für Kinder invites everyone to a communal gathering in the church square.
