Tübingen Christmas Market

On every third weekend of Advent, the atmosphere in Tübingen's historic market square couldn't be more romantic. Over 350 stands decorated with lights are densely packed into the old town's narrow streets. Unlike many other Christmas markets in the state, almost everything here is made with love and by hand: home-cooked, knitted, carved, crafted, turned, pottered, painted, carpentered... For three days, visitors can browse, enjoy, and shop. Many an amazed guest will resolve to try their hand at one or two things themselves over the course of the year, or simply to come back again next time. A highlight is the performance of Feuerzangenbowle on Friday at 7 p.m. on Haagtorplatz – and children can also look forward to the carousel again. Saturday and Friday until 9 p.m., Sunday until 7 p.m.
