Sounding Münster

A musical journey through the ages. Presented by the Radolfzell Music School in cooperation with the Trossingen State University of Music. To mark the end of the anniversary year, the "Klingende Münster" invites you to an evening full of music, community, and sparkling lights. In the poetically illuminated Cathedral of Our Lady, musicians from the Trossingen State University of Music and the Radolfzell Music School trace the 1,200-year history of Radolfzell in a variety of timbres. Together, they will create a varied musical mosaic that will take listeners on an atmospheric journey through time. The program will be performed twice on December 12 – at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Between the two concerts, at 6:45 p.m., a special communal experience will take place on the market square (no admission fee): After a welcome by Mayor Simon Gröger, everyone present will transform into a large choir under the direction of Pia Löb (cantor of the Christuskirche) and sing Advent songs together. Accompanied by a brass ensemble consisting of the Christuskirche trombone choir and the Radolfzell youth wind orchestra under the direction of Norbert Steiner and Kuno Rauch, this will create a moment of togetherness and a musical symbol of the community spirit that makes Radolfzell so vibrant.
