Exhibition "Real Wertheimers - Surprising Scenes from the Alleys and Corners of Wertheim"

Exhibition by the artist Ruth Roth in support of the Bürgerspital Wertheim. The exhibition can be seen simultaneously in the town halls of Wertheim and Kreuzwertheim. The proceeds from the sale of the artworks will go 100 percent to the Bürgerspital. The exhibition "Real Wertheimers - Surprising Scenes from the Alleys and Corners of Wertheim" is a love letter to the hidden corners of the city. The idea for this series of works developed over the years from walks and observations of the city in search of the beauties of Wertheim at "second glance." Initially inconspicuous objects become silent narrators of urban scenes and lead to an aesthetics of neglect. Side venues of the city center and street joy unite in the works. These still lifes are brought to "art life" through the body language of delicate, human-like figures that tell small stories. For example, a couple was found in the courtyard of the town hall, aptly titled "Administrative Employees." Other finds have a connection to the Schlösschenpark and thus appear aristocratic, while others point to rustic individuals and couples with groundedness, commitment, and a love for dance, perfectly completing the picture of real Wertheimers. The viewer of the works may smile or even make connections to real living Wertheimers. Open during the opening hours of the town halls, admission free.
