Advent market

Soon it will be Christmas…
This year, the pre-Christmas season in Mühlhausen traditionally begins with the Advent market organized by Diakonie Doppelpunkt e.V. at the main workshop, An den Wiesen 1 in the Trift industrial area, and at the workshop store, An der Burg 1 (former Telekom building).
The market will open on November 29 at 11 a.m. Guests who are wheelchair-bound can visit the market starting at 10 a.m. Throughout the day until 5 p.m., around 40 stalls will offer everything related to Advent and the upcoming Christmas season to see, smell, hear, experience, and of course, taste.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the project "Eckenchor" from Mühlhausen and the brass players from Kammerforst. Admission to the market is free.
There will again be a variety of offerings for children. Sports and games, craft activities, a children's carousel, donkey and pony rides, a tombola, and much more will surely captivate many children. Both young and old can look forward to the café offerings from the Landgasthof Alter Bahnhof in Wieseneck or the Christmas cinema. In the carpentry shop, festive motifs can be cut and engraved with a laser upon request. St. Nicholas will accompany the day with his well-filled gift sack.
For culinary delights, there will again be children's and Christmas punch, mulled wine, egg punch, and Feuerzangenbowle, as well as coffee and cake, Soljanka from the kitchen of gastrofact, and grilled sausages from the charcoal grill. The Nostalgia Café will also open its doors again. At the Christmas cookie stand, you can stock up for the upcoming season!
Advent decorations from the carpentry shop, tailoring, candle workshop, and local vendors can be purchased at many stalls for the festive decoration of your home and to complete your Christmas gifts. There will also be a knitting and crocheting stand as well as a leather workshop.
At the workshop store located at An der Burg 1 in Mühlhausen, advent workshop products, decorative items, and suitable tailoring products can be purchased on this day. Of course, there will also be mulled wine, coffee, children's punch, and grilled sausages for visitors.
Buses from the Mühlhausen main train station will depart at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. operated by the Jagemann transport service (Tel. 0175/1700292) via Görmar/Am Berg, Forstberg/Schule, Arbeitsdank, Feldstr., Bus station/stop at the parking lot, M.-V.-Allee/stop at Rewe, and Bastmarkt to the market. Return trips are scheduled from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
