Master Concert - Stark & Pescia

The duo Stark & Pescia brings together two internationally sought-after soloists: violinist Nurit Stark, trained at Juilliard, Cologne, and Berlin, has performed with orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Pianist Cédric Pescia, winner of the Gina Bachauer Competition in 2002, has concertized worldwide in major venues like Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Philharmonie. The duo combines virtuosity with depth and performs not only classical-romantic repertoire but also modern composers like Gubaidulina and Feldman.

Stark & Pescia unites two high-caliber soloists who are regularly heard on international concert stages. The Israel-born violinist Nurit Stark studied at the Juilliard School of Music, the Hochschule für Musik Köln, and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. As both a soloist and concertmaster, she has performed with renowned orchestras, including the Munich Radio Orchestra under Dmitry Sitkovetsky, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Cédric Pescia studied in Lausanne, Geneva, and Berlin. In 2002, he won the "Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition" and has since performed on the world's major concert stages, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Carnegie Hall New York, the Tonhalle Zurich, and London's Wigmore Hall, as well as at numerous festivals.

This duo pairs virtuosic mastery with musical sensitivity and an intellectual understanding of the works. In addition to the classical-romantic standard repertoire, the duo also offers numerous contemporary works, including those by Sofia Gubaidulina and Morton Feldman.
