In the first half, composer and jazz trumpeter Thorsten Wollmann captivates with his own compositions, which are rooted in the traditions of Count Basie and Duke Ellington while impressively bridging to the modern era. For many years, he has proven his skills as an arranger for the SWR Big Band, which has showcased its world-class level in performances in cities such as New York and London. In the second half, the renowned Ida Sand from Stockholm takes over. She is currently one of the most prominent blue-eyed singers in Scandinavia. After being discovered by Nils Landgren, she worked as a freelance singer and pianist. In 2007, she released her debut album "Meet Me Around Midnight," featuring musicians like Lars Danielsson and Jan Lundgren. Her mastery of all the ingredients of soul is evident through her subsequent four albums and her solo project "My Soul Kitchen."
