On the first Advent weekend, November 29 and 30, 2025, Dobel will celebrate the beginning of the Advent season with its atmospheric Advent market around the spa house and the village square. With the glow of lights, music, and the scent of Christmas in the air, Dobel invites you to the Advent market. When the aroma of mulled wine and fresh steamed dumplings wafts through the streets, colorful lights sparkle among the fir trees, and music fills the square, it’s time for the Advent market in Dobel again. On Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the community of Dobel invites visitors from near and far to a special weekend full of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and moments of enjoyment. A fixed part of the Dobel Advent market is the visit from St. Nicholas, who will stroll through the market on Saturday from 3:00 PM and on Sunday from 2:00 PM, bringing a small surprise for all children. In the elf workshop on the spa house stage, young visitors can get creative, craft, and let their imaginations run wild. Musically, a festive atmosphere is also ensured: On Saturday evening, "Jonnys Livemusik" will provide good cheer and a wintry evening vibe from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. On Sunday, the Dobel music association will kick off the market day at 11:30 AM with Christmas tunes, before "Simons Musik" accompanies the afternoon musically from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In the festively decorated spa house, visitors will find a diverse range of handicrafts, decorations, and regional products. Lovingly crafted lanterns, watercolor paintings, wooden and concrete works, crocheted items, jewelry, doll clothes, Advent arrangements, felted goods, liqueurs, and honey products invite you to browse, discover, and gift. The spa house thus becomes a true paradise for all those looking for handmade treasures and creative gift ideas. In the village square, the focus is on encounters. This year, the Hungarian partner town of Tótvázony will also have its own stand. The Dobel clubs and restaurateurs will take care of culinary delights with a wide selection of savory and sweet specialties: musician sausages, steak rolls, fries, tarte flambée, wild game sausages in rolls, goulash, steamed dumplings, and yeast dumplings will be on the menu, along with hot cocktails, game specialties, alpaca products, sweets, and of course, mulled wine in various varieties.
