When the scent of mulled wine and bratwurst wafts through the streets, colorful lights sparkle in the pine greenery, and music fills the square, it's Advent market time again in Dobel. On Saturday, November 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on Sunday, November 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the municipality of Dobel invites visitors from near and far to a special weekend full of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and moments of enjoyment. An integral part of the Dobel Advent Market is a visit from St. Nicholas, who will stroll through the market on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 p.m., bringing a little surprise for all the children. In the elf workshop on the Kurhaus stage, young visitors can get creative, do crafts, and let their imaginations run wild.  In the festively decorated Kurhaus, visitors can expect a wide range of arts and crafts, decorations, and regional products. Lovingly designed lanterns, watercolor paintings, wood and concrete works, crocheted items, jewelry, doll clothes, Advent arrangements, felted items, liqueurs, and honey products invite you to browse, discover, and give gifts. The Kurhaus thus becomes a true paradise for anyone looking for handmade treasures and creative gift ideas. The village square is the focal point for socializing. Once again this year, the Hungarian twin town of Tótvázony will be represented with its own stand. The Dobel clubs and restaurateurs will be providing refreshments with a diverse selection of savory and sweet specialties: Musikerbratwurst, steak rolls, French fries, tarte flambée, and wild game bratwurst rolls are on the menu, as are hot cocktails, game specialties, alpaca products, confectionery, and, of course, mulled wine in various varieties.
