Vernissage for the Annual Exhibition of the Gaildorf City Painter 2025 Naomi Akimoto, the Gaildorf City Painter 2025, was born in Osaka and studied sculpture and education in Kyoto, later continuing her studies in sculpture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Since 2000, Naomi Akimoto has been leading workshops and projects for adults at the German Ceramic Museum Hetjens in Düsseldorf. The artist is a boundary-crosser, combining traditional Japanese aesthetics with Western conceptual art in her works. Her pieces have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
