"The Drug Dealer" - 100 Years of Drugstore History

Many well-known, but also disappeared brands from the drugstore business invite you on an exciting and entertaining journey into a past analog advertising world. More than 120 original advertising posters from the 1920s to the 1960s provide insights into the culture and spirit of that time through graphics and text. The exhibition showcases advertising graphics from the pre-war era, documents from the post-war years marked by scarcity, as well as evidence of the emerging economic miracle. Filled with old cans from well-known brands, packaging, and other exhibits related to the drug trade, many success stories can be tangibly experienced. The battle against pests, corns, and unwanted freckles was waged on advertising boards in shop windows or on the counters of retailers. The drugstore assortments of the time covered personal care and hygiene products, baby food, health supplies, household goods, washing and cleaning agents, chemicals, everything for gardening and livestock, as well as photography accessories. The druggist also made various products from different raw materials and ingredients upon request.
